I’d hoped this announcement would be about a one night only SDJs reunion, but well, the man’s not exactly giving away cross country plane tickets these days.
At any rate, Craig (that’s me!) will be DJing solo at Beat Research on August 6th. Alex usually holds me back a little when we play together, so expect to hear some wacky stuff.
I’ll repeat – if you’re in the Boston/Cambridge area on August 6th, come out to the Enormous Room and catch me playing records and maybe making a fool of myself. If you’re not in the area, I’ll try to record it and get it up here, but we all know that live is better.
Oh and for anyone who saw us at Beat Research last summer, I won’t play any screw this time. Unless you ask.
Here are all of the details for our upcoming Northeast tour!
Monday, Aug. 14th – Beat Research, Cambridge, MA. At the Enormous Room. 21+; more info at beatresearch.com.
Tuesday, Aug. 15th – Energy2, Providence, RI. More info at volumeproductions.com.
Wednesday, Aug. 16th – Pure Fire, New York City, NY. At Tonic. More info at broklynbeats.net and tonicnyc.com.
I am not ashamed to admit that this will be our first time touring, and we probably don’t entirely know what we’ve gotten ourselves into, but it should be mad fun. Come out and get drunk and dance (if you live in or around one of those three cities)!
Also, we’ve decided to make the entire tour (and my subsequent vacation) carbon neutral. Carbonfund.org has sold us carbon credits to offset all of our CO2 emissions for the driving from DC. So our liberal guilt is sated, and yours should be too.
Lastly, we’ve got a special exclusive mix cd that you’ll only be able to get from us in person, which we’ll be taking with us on the road. Copies are crazy limited, so if you want one, you might want to hustle. Is it a good mix? You’ll never know if you don’t come see us.
If you live in the DC/VA/MD area, you should take note: Serious DJs will be playing at the “Strictly Locals” night at Strangeland Records. Strangeland’s a nice new independent record shop run by nice folks. And we’re also nice folks. So you should come check it out.
We’ll be there July 8th, starting at 8pm. Directions can be found here.
